Skills First Reconnect Program Launched @ WCIG Training Services

07 Dec 2017 - We were delighted to have the Minister for Training and Skills Gayle Tierney attend our office in Footscray this morning to officially launch our Skills Reconnect program!

We are excited to announce that WCIG and Comm Unity Plus Services Ltd are working together to deliver the Skills Reconnect program. The Skills Reconnect program offers participants the supports they need so they can successfully participate in education, training and employment.

Through Skills Reconnect, participants will be assigned a coach who will support them in entering and maintaining education pathways, and help them to overcome any barriers faced that could disrupt their studies.

The service supports people between the ages of 20-64 who have been unemployed long-term and have not completed high school and young people aged 17-19 who are disengaged early school leavers.

For more information, please contact WCIG on 03 9689 3437 or email us at:

“Reconnect is making things fair by giving every Victorian, no matter their postcode or background, access to the training and support they need to get a job.” Minister for Training and Skills Gayle Tierney.
