It's Community Organisations Meeting time again!
14 Feb 2012 - With the Christmas period behind us, it's time for all the Community Organisations to come together to share the latest on their missions
The Community Organisations Meetings (COM) are a fantastic way of getting in amongst all the great work that so many groups are doing in the western region, for so many people. Colourful, inspiring stories of highlights, lowlights and everything in between from our guest speakers always make COMs a great place to get in touch with what's happening in your backyard. What better place to do this than within an amazing initiative like Lentil as Anything, the 'pay as you feel' collection of socially-aware restaurants.
Everyone is welcome to simply attend to mingle and listen, or to represent a community organisation. Join us at Lentil as Anything, 233 Barkly Street, Footscray on Wednesday the 29th of February from 11am until 12:30pm. The only cost involved is a donation to Lentil as Anything, and lunch will be provided.
GUEST SPEAKERS:
Majella Grainger from Urban Green Living and Learning Hub, and Rowan Muir from WCIG Youth Connections will be speaking about their respective organisations so that we may better understand them. Questions are, of course, welcome!
